Supportive Access Programs

Purpose

Medicinal Mycology Institute was founded not only to study medicinal mushrooms, but to address a practical gap between information and access.

Many individuals encounter medicinal mushroom information during periods of illness or treatment, often accompanied by conflicting claims, inconsistent products, and little clarity around preparation methods. Our Supportive Access Programs exist to provide carefully prepared, standardized mushroom extracts within an educational, non-clinical framework.

What Supportive Access Means

Supportive access refers to the availability of standardized mushroom preparations provided for informational and personal wellness consideration, not as medical treatment.

When resources allow, the Institute offers limited access to mushroom extracts prepared using documented methods consistent with our Standards & Methods. These materials are accompanied by educational context so recipients understand how they were prepared and what is known—and not known—about their study.

Participation is voluntary and intended to support informed decision-making alongside professional healthcare.

What This Program Is Not

This program is not medical care.

Medicinal Mycology Institute does not:

  • Diagnose conditions

  • Treat or cure disease

  • Provide medical advice

  • Replace or interfere with prescribed treatment

Nothing provided through this program should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical guidance. Individuals are encouraged to involve their healthcare providers in any wellness decisions they make.

These boundaries are essential to the integrity of the Institute and the safety of those we serve.

Access & Availability

Supportive Access Programs are limited by resources.

At present, access is provided on a case-by-case basis and may be constrained by:

  • Availability of prepared materials

  • Program capacity

  • Administrative limitations

The Institute does not guarantee availability and may pause or modify programs as resources change.

How Materials Are Prepared

All materials provided through Supportive Access Programs are prepared using documented, fruiting-body–focused methods aligned with Institute standards.

Preparation emphasizes:

  • Transparency of material source

  • Controlled processing parameters

  • Safety and cleanliness

  • Batch documentation

Materials are prepared conservatively and without optimization for yield, potency claims, or marketing considerations.

Sustainability & Funding

Supportive Access Programs are supported through a combination of private funding and charitable contributions. The Institute does not operate these programs as a commercial service.

Donations designated for supportive access help offset preparation, testing, and distribution costs, allowing the Institute to continue this work responsibly and without commercial pressure.

Respect & Privacy

We recognize that individuals seeking information or access may be navigating difficult circumstances.

All inquiries are treated with discretion and respect. Participation in Supportive Access Programs does not require public disclosure, and personal information is handled thoughtfully and minimally.

Supportive Access Programs exist to provide care without claims, information without pressure, and materials prepared with responsibility rather than urgency.
